World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
The item upgrade feature allows players to upgrade their equipment. This can be accomplished by any item upgrader NPC.
Upgrades increase the main stat of an item and add extras depending on its type. Examples include Whistan's shield, for FB Sorcs, and Goldwraps for build casters.
Armour
Armour is among the key things that keeps Link protected from injury in all situations. While it isn't able to be upgraded like weapons, you can still enhance its defence capabilities in various ways.
The fundamental idea behind armour is to safeguard a person or animal from physical injury or harm whether from physical assault or from a range of dangers to the environment or activity. Historically, most armour was made of leather or fabric, but metal protections were also used, especially for military applications like heavy cavalry or combat drones.
Like weapons there are a variety of ways in which armour can be upgraded, however, most of them will require a visit to one of the four Great Fairy Fountains located throughout Hyrule. Each fountain has a unique level of upgrades available, with more granting greater levels of protection, and require a higher price in rupees and other materials to unlock.
The first thing you need to know about Armor Upgrades is that they are upgrades that last forever which means that once they've been applied they can't be replaced unless there is another piece of equipment that has the same upgrade. You should only apply highest-level upgrades to your equipment, and ensure that you have the equipment needed to complete the process.
For those who want to acquire the required upgrade components you'll find them all over Hyrule including merchants, shrines and even enemies. They are typically marked by the blue triangle or gold circle and are available in large numbers as you progress. While they might appear randomly, there's the possibility that obtaining certain upgrade components will lead to an adventure that rewards you with more.
It is important to remember that even though the amount offered by each upgrade could differ however, it will always be more than zero. This is because a full set of upgraded armour will give you a significant defense boost that protects you from all kinds of attacks, excluding magic and makes it a formidable weapon for any class.

Weapons
You can upgrade your guns with special upgrades that create a truly unique weapon. These upgrades can increase the damage or change the stats of the weapon to match your particular build. They can also unlock new attachments like unique enchantments, different types of ammunition, as well as aesthetic options.
You'll need both the upgrade component as well as the weapon itself to upgrade it. this link must also be above a certain level for the upgrade to be effective and the majority of weapons can only accept one upgrade at a time.
You can find weapons upgrade components scattered across the world and from the hands of enemies, or they can be purchased from merchants. Upgrade components are a mix of ingredients that you are able to slot into weapons, armors, trinkets and gathering tools in order to gain an attribute bonus. They require the equipment to be of a certain degree to accept the upgrade and can be upgraded in the same manner as other items.
The upgrades themselves are a mix of Smithing Stones and Runes, and are used to improve the stats of the base weapon and enhancing its scale with other stats. They can be found from enemies that are dropped into the open, bought from certain vendors or found as drops in combat.
Two NPCs can enhance your weapon: Blacksmith Hewg, in the Roundtable Hold hub zone and the Smithing Master Iji located in the Road to Manor hub zone. Both of these NPCs accept your Smithing Stones or Runes to upgrade your weapon.
Prioritize upgrading your top-in-slot items first. Then upgrade those that you aren't likely to replace anytime soon. Upgrade your weapon first, then upgrade your chest, shoulders, hands, and feet when you are planning to play a melee build. The same principle applies to Magic and Utility Items. However, depending on your style of play, certain items will be more beneficial than others. The same is true for Armour and reforges, with some having superior performance over others.
Magic Items
A character is able to upgrade only one magic item. If an upgrade project is cancelled, no more upgrades will be planned for the item. Upgraded magic items cost twice as much gold to make or purchase, but they can offer additional benefits.
A magical item is any item that has special properties or effects. Most of these items are weapons, but some are also shields, armor and cloaks, potions, rings, scrolls and other items. Certain of these items can be made to speak.
Most magical items can be upgraded to become equipped with additional capabilities. This can make them more useful to a player, or it can aid them in overcoming a particularly challenging encounter. A weapon that is infused can provide bonuses to damage against a particular enemy type, for example. This is particularly beneficial for characters who have reached a level where they will likely face the same type of monster in dungeons over and over again.
A ring that is infused with magic may give immunity to non-magical attacks that bludgeon, pierce or cut (excluding silver-based attacks) until the character takes another long rest. This is especially useful for combatants who are melee or any person who wishes to avoid buying an armor.
Certain items enchanted by magic have special powers that allow the character to cast spells in addition to the ones on the list of spells for their class. This is helpful for those who are having trouble filling their spell slots because of multiclassing. These enchanted objects require an Intelligence check (Arcana) and the spell is determined by rolling a table based on the number of Intelligence points expended.
Other enchanted objects might permit the character's appearance to be changed, or they could even create a new appearance. These items are especially useful for characters who are forced to leave their home or are in a location in which they are not welcomed. A magical item may grant them invisibility or make them invisible for everyone, except for the chosen person.
Utility Items
Utility items are those that do not fit into the categories of Clothing, Armor or Weapons and have various capabilities. Utility items aren't compatible with each other, as opposed to Armor or Weapons. Most utility items provide an effect that a player can activate by using them, but some have additional abilities that are activated when the user presses the button or activates the ability.
Generally speaking, the most popular kind of utility item is the Flashlight that is used to illuminate the surrounding area. Other utility items include the Helicopter Cap and Rocket Boots which allow the player float in mid-air while moving, and the Jetpack which allows him to accelerate in any directions while on the ground. In the Engineering section you can create instantly a variety of utility items, while others are unlocked by research projects or experimental projects on the Proving Ground.
Players can gain more powerful utility items in addition to the items available in their regular inventory by purchasing them at the Atomic Shop or from seasonal Scoreboard rewards. Some of these items can be upgraded to make them more effective.
The majority of utility items boost an individual combat ability or give the player some kind of advantage when it comes to navigation. For example, Sharpening stones crafted by the Weaponsmith increase Ferocity and Power as well as Maintenance Oils created by the Huntsman increase the power of concentration and healing. Other items that are useful can be used by the player to increase Damage or Condition Damage.
XCOM soldiers can equip a single utilitarian item to begin the campaign. A second slot is available after completing certain research, engineering, or experimental projects on the Proving Ground. In the Alien Hunters downloadable content, additional slots are available by equipping a Grenade Launcher. This permits players to utilize the Smoke Grenade or Bomb while an offensive grenade remains in the primary slot.
